How can I create new looks to really show off my eyes?
Make-up’s all about experimenting and having fun. Play around with the Metallic Cream Shadows. They’re amazing over Soft Kohl pencils for a stronger colour. Notting Hill is a fab shade to wear over Loveable Lilac or try Chelsea over Jungle Green. I also love Planet Sparkle played up with Maxxx It Up in the centre of the lid. Really zingy.
How do you put eyeliner on? I’ve only mastered the liquid.
Well done you, it’s usually the other way round! Always wipe your pencil first to soften up the tip. Gently pull down the rim of the eye and draw along. Simple. If you can manage it, a line drawn on the inner top lid is great for that smoky eye look.
How can I get the model look without making a smudgy mess?
I was just talking about the smoky eye look! It’s dead easy really. Apply a Soft Kohl pencil the colour you fancy over the entire lid, then gently dab a little gloss over the top. Use loads of black kohl on the inner rims of the eyes, then curl lashes with lashings of mascara. I did this on a shoot with Sienna recently.
What is the best mascara?
Depends on what you want. My favourite at the moment is Lash Maxxx mascara, so easy to use and you can get right into the lash line and the little corner lashes. I use it on everyone, all the girls love it.
What are your top tips for eye make-up this season?
This season’s all about black. Whether it’s a perfect liquid line, as seen at Louis Vuitton, or an Amy Winehouse inspired smudgy black line. It’s goodbye girlie make-up, hello punky, edgy eyes!
