SUNSHIMMER MAKE-UP HINTS & TIPS

  • How to apply and remove easily my Sunshimmer Instant tan on my face or my body?

One of my favourite products for giving a little extra colour is Sunshimmer Instant tan. It instantly makes the legs look better. It is great if you don’t want to use fake tan as it washes off. I use it on shoots all of the time as it dries on the skin so doesn’t come off on the clothes. And it gives a real sun kissed glow to the skin. But doesn’t look fake and it isn’t orange like many fake tans. I love the bronzing spray for a quick easy application and its easier to get to the bits you can’t reach, otherwise always use the gel lotion as its so easy to massage it into the skin. You can wear gloves or a mitt if you like to apply but as it washes off I just use my hands. My foolproof and easy way to apply is to moisturise the skin first, as this helps blend the cream in if you are not used to it, as it dries so by applying body lotion first you give yourself a little extra time to work the colour into the skin. You can really build it up for a more intense colour and the shimmer one looks great on top of an existing tan to really give it a boost. The shimmer looks great on legs, but I tend to stick to the matt for the face as I prefer to add shimmer where I want it. On the face I often mix it with moisturiser for a hint of colour, then build up the tan using Sunshimmer 3 in 1 shimmering bronzer powder. If you have dry elbows and knees and get a colour build up buff the colour off afterwards for a more natural look. If you make a mistake you can just take the colour down with a damp cloth. Its perfect as it just washes off at the end of the day with a little soap. So from day to day you can be pale and interesting or a sun kissed goddess! But don’t forget to wash your hands!

  • How to choose my SunShimmer Instant Tan shade?

When choosing the shade I always recommend you use the colour you are as a guideline. If you are fair don’t go too dark, it will look too unnatural, so for fair skins go for shade fair (intensity 1), this will give you a lovely natural sun kissed glow. For lighter skins go for shade light (intensity 2), it will give you a really healthy bronzed glow. Medium to darker skins try shade Medium (intensity 3), this will give you a deep intense tan. Don’t forget you can build the colour up, so its better to build up shade fair for example than to go for shade medium, as this will look too fake if you have paler skin.
