  • How to apply and remove easily my Sunshimmer Instant tan on my face or my body?

One of my favourite products for giving a little extra colour is Sunshimmer Instant tan. It instantly makes the legs look better. It is great if you don’t want to use fake tan as it washes off. I use it on shoots all of the time as it dries on the skin so doesn’t come off on the clothes. And it gives a real sun kissed glow to the skin. But doesn’t look fake and it isn’t orange like many fake tans. I love the bronzing spray for a quick easy application and its easier to get to the bits you can’t reach, otherwise always use the gel lotion as its so easy to massage it into the skin. You can wear gloves or a mitt if you like to apply but as it washes off I just use my hands. My foolproof and easy way to apply is to moisturise the skin first, as this helps blend the cream in if you are not used to it, as it dries so by applying body lotion first you give yourself a little extra time to work the colour into the skin. You can really build it up for a more intense colour and the shimmer one looks great on top of an existing tan to really give it a boost. The shimmer looks great on legs, but I tend to stick to the matt for the face as I prefer to add shimmer where I want it. On the face I often mix it with moisturiser for a hint of colour, then build up the tan using Sunshimmer 3 in 1 shimmering bronzer powder. If you have dry elbows and knees and get a colour build up buff the colour off afterwards for a more natural look. If you make a mistake you can just take the colour down with a damp cloth. Its perfect as it just washes off at the end of the day with a little soap. So from day to day you can be pale and interesting or a sun kissed goddess! But don’t forget to wash your hands!

  • How to choose my SunShimmer Instant Tan shade?

When choosing the shade I always recommend you use the colour you are as a guideline. If you are fair don’t go too dark, it will look too unnatural, so for fair skins go for shade fair (intensity 1), this will give you a lovely natural sun kissed glow. For lighter skins go for shade light (intensity 2), it will give you a really healthy bronzed glow. Medium to darker skins try shade Medium (intensity 3), this will give you a deep intense tan. Don’t forget you can build the colour up, so its better to build up shade fair for example than to go for shade medium, as this will look too fake if you have paler skin.

  • How to create funky effects on your nails?

Why not follow the latest nail trends and get creative. Apply 1 shade over the entire nail then choose another shade to get creative! You can create patterns, lines, dots, whatever takes your fancy! 60 seconds is great for this as it dries so quickly you can add other shades on top in no time. Or try a modern French manicure and paint the tip black instead of white. This looks great with a dark or metallic nail. The possibilities are endless.

  • How to avoid chipping on your nail polish?

I’ve been picking the brains of manicurists on shoots. The trick seems to be in making sure there’s no oil on your nails before you paint them so either wash your hands first or clean them with polish remover. Apply first one coat of the Rimmel base coat. Then stick to two thin coats of colour instead of one thick coat. Always finish with a clear topcoat to protect your colour, and take it just underneath the nail edge to seal the end of the nail. Try the LYCRA® PRO nail polishes, there are such amazing colours and they are long lasting without chipping.

  • How do you look after your nails?

It’s all about oiling your cuticles and hand cream! 24/7! Hope you have the time! Never file your nails in a see saw action, back and forth it will weaken the nail, just file in one direction. If you have weak nails you should try Nail Rescue treatment, I use this and it really works.

  • How to choose the best shade of lipstick for the day?

The best way to choose a good daytime shade is to take into account the natural shade of your lips. For daytime you want to enhance what you have naturally. For light lips choose a lighter shade, beiges, pinks and corals work well. If you choose a darker shade it will appear much darker as you have pale lips, so apply lightly. If you have naturally darker lips the paler shades will look ashy. So try browns and roses and plums. With its staying power and a wide range of colours Lasting Finish Lipstick will be your best friend to create this perfect natural look for any occasion. Look at the amazing colours: more than twenty shades, going from light nude beige or wearable brown, to all kinds of pink. Choosing the perfect colour to suit you anytime has never been so easy!

  • How to create a party look on your lip

There is nothing better than a bold lip for a party look. Colour is a great way to add instant glamour. Red is always the perfect party colour. I love the instant glamour it creates. I love Colour Show Off lipstick. You will find a gorgeous red! The perfect red for a perfect party look! If applying a red lipstick, and you want it to look perfect, apply lip liner first in a matching shade. Apply over the entire lip, and then apply the lipstick over the top. This looks great with a simple eye. If you are going for a strong dramatic eye my favourite look for lips is to tone down the natural colour with a little foundation then apply lots of gloss on top. Or choose a good fleshy colour beige lipstick and apply lots of gloss on top. You can try a clear gloss or give the beige a hint of colour with a coloured gloss. Another great party look is to apply your favourite lipstick then load the gloss over the top for a full on shine. If you are really going for it, apply your lipstick, then add some gloss over the top, then press in a little glitter, for a look straight off the runway. Vinyl gloss, with its new Magnifying Vinyl Shine boosting complex, will amplify high colours and reflect incredible light.

  • All the tips for the lip liner (why, when, how?)

I love lip liners as they have so many uses. They stop the lipstick bleeding. They are great for correcting any uneven natural shape to the lip. They can really make the lipstick hold, they can really add definition to the lip. Wear alone with gloss for an easy look, or wear with a matching lipstick for a really defined lip. You can choose a shade that matches your natural lip colour to just add some definition and even out the shape. A big no is to draw the line too far from your natural shape to make them look bigger. It never works, you can achieve this in other ways. Or you can choose a shade to match your lipstick to define the look and help the lipstick last longer as the base of the pencil really gives the lipstick something to hold onto. I love Lasting Finish 1000 Kisses Lip Liner. It really stays on, so whether I use it alone with some gloss or on top of a lipstick, the colour lasts for hours. It is also ideal for a dramatic dark or red mouth because it helps the colour stay on. Apply the liner over the entire lip, then apply the matching lipstick on top, either with a brush for precision, or straight from the bullet, blot with a tissue and reapply! Lipliner should always be blended over the lip so you don’t get this hard line around the edge and Lasting Finish 1000 kisses Lip Liner is perfect as it’s soft creamy texture glides on easily without pulling the skin. There are some great shades that look fab on their own with just a little gloss on top. If you want to give the illusion of bigger lips, follow the natural lip line, drawing the line just along the outer edge of the lip line. Apply all over the lip and add the colour on top. A touch of gloss in the centre will give the illusion of fuller lips, and another trick I use for extra pout is to add a little highlight to the cupids bow.

  • Make your lip gloss stay longer

To make your lipgloss last longer is now so easy. Try Stay Glossy Lip Gloss. I have tried and tested this on so many shoots and am always amazed how it really stays on for hours, through food and drink, it’s my dream lipgloss! At last! There are some amazing wow shades in the collection. Its not sticky as you often find with lipgloss, I have been known many a time to use it on the eyes too. I absolutely love this gloss and all of the girls I use it on love it so much they end up keeping it!

  • How do I know what my skin type is?

To know what type of skin you have is easy. More oily skins have open pores and never feel tight. This skin appears to be shiny. Dry skins often feel tight before you moisturise and the pores are much smaller. It can have dry patches. Combination skins really are a combination of the above two, the t zone (nose and line above the eye brows) often oily and the cheek area tight.
