Deadmau5 gig at the Millbank Tower is confirmed for tonight

Posted on 28 November 2011

Word in West London today is that we can go see a a super exciting Deadmau5 concert tonight at the Millbank Tower from 8pm that Nokia are hosting to celebrate the launch of their new smartphone called Lumia. Anyone can attend and it's totally FREE so come join if you can!

They'll be a 400 ft 4D projection light display which synchronises with the DJ set (think that's a first for the UK), it should provide an such incredible backdrop for a gig. So even if you can't get to the location this evening, have a look out of your window this evening as it should be visible from all around the Thames.

Ralph Lauren did a 4D projection in Bond Street a little while back, so if you haven't experienced a 4D show before this clip gives you an idea of how totally impressive the effects are: http://vimeo.com/16723278

Can you get a reservation?? ... Dorsia, south kensington

Posted on 28 November 2011

Last week's most talked-about launch was at Dorsia, 3 Cromwell Road SW7, which hosts a restaurant, bar and club over 3 floors. Formerly Firehouse, it has been revamped and reborn - now run by a team whose collective experience spans the majority of the most exclusive venues in London - including the infamous Fraser Carruthers (of Veneer Parties) and the dashing Nick Andreen (of Boujis).

Thursday night's star appearances were made by Chelsea Davy, Callum Best, almost the entire cast of our favourite West London TV series 'Made in Chelsea' and Kelis, who graced us with a private performance of her latest tracks. Those lucky enough to have made reservations were queuing right down to the entrance of the Natural History Museum (at least 200 metres away)!

Kelis rocked up sporting a super sparking silver mini dress with an oversized bow on her head to finish off the outfit, whereas Chelsea decided to play it safe in black. The Made in Chelsea crowd we really in their element, with delicate canapes being handed out on silver platters and vintage champagne flowing - Chloe Green, a new entry to the show really 'let loose' with her backless number, and what do you think of Callum's starry cardigan?!!

The venue itself is beautiful, my favourite room being the restaurant on floor 2, with dim lighting, Frank Sinatra playing and beautiful period features, it feels like you've managed to sneak your way into somebody's private stately home... they'll may be a long reservation list but it's worth the wait.
