When it comes to mascara, we all want the same thing; thicker, curlier, longer eyelashes that basically touch your eyebrows, while making you look fresh and wide-awake. A volumising mascara is a dream-come-true for achieving that pumped-up lash look, but how do you get all the drama without the clumps? Enter, Wonder’Luxe. Your luxe lash routine just got bigger, with the NEW Ultimate Boost Volume Primer joining our award-winning Wonder’Luxe Volume Mascara to give you bold, full-bodied lashes. Ready to turn up the volume? Keep scrolling for all the lengthening, thickening tricks you need…
1. Create a Curl
If a killer curl is one of the goals for your lash look, try prepping with an eyelash curler. Use it before you’ve swept on your plumping eyelash primer and volume mascara. To get the most eye-opening effect, it’s best to crimp the curler at the base of the lashes and again through the mid-lengths, before giving it another squeeze at the very tips.
2. Apply a Primer
A primer? For your lashes? It’s a thing. Ultimate Boost Volume Primer takes volume and length to insane levels by coating eyelashes in tiny fibres. These fibres build up incredible boldness, while the plastic brush helps you reach the teensiest lashes, and a blend of oils (coconut, argan, jojoba) keeps them in feathery-soft condition. Sweep the creamy formula on, then apply two coats of Wonder’Luxe Volume Mascara over the top. The final effect is an amplified lash look with the dreamiest conditioning benefits.
3. Perfect Your Technique
A single sweep of Wonder’Luxe Volume Mascara will give you a fuller flutter. In fact, it’s so eye-catching that it even won the Sunday Times Style Beauty Award for the Best Lash Product. To get full coverage, perfect your application technique by holding the wand at the very base of your lashes. Then, glide the conditioning formula from root to tip in a zig-zag motion. The result? Smooth, full-bodied volume, thanks to a lash-loving cocktail of argan, maracuja, marula and camellia oils.
4. Hold the Wand Vertically
After applying one or two coats of Wonder’Luxe Volume Mascara, hold the wand vertically and push it up into the tips of upper and lower lashes. This switch-up is especially eye-catching when used on bottom lashes, as it helps you to separate the strands and make the smaller eyelashes on the inner corners of eyes stand out more.
5. Try Tightlining
Your eyeliner can make lashes look thicker, too. All you need is a liquid with a micro-fine brush or felt tip applicator, like Exaggerate Liquid Eyeliner. Trace the inky, black formula in a skinny stroke along the upper lash line, nudging it in between your lashes to give the illusion of extra fullness.
6. Wear a Sheer Shimmer Wash
Complete your look with an eyeshadow shade that gets eyelashes looking seriously lit. We rate sheer, shimmery shadows, like our ultra-frosted Jelly Glitter Gel. Choose from five pastel shades, then tap and blend them over eyelids in a glittery veil. The best part? Unlike loose glitter, this one-step gel doesn’t need any glue to lock in place.
