This Halloween Cat Makeup Look is So Easy

Sometimes, even the most dedicated Hallo-queens crave an easy Halloween makeup look. Our go-to? Cat makeup that has us ‘feline fine’, every single time. This is one look that makes your entire costume, meaning that last-minute fright night party is no problem. Just throw on an all-black outfit and follow this step-by-step Feline Frenzy tutorial…

Step 1

Begin with brows. Nothing frames your look like flawless arches, so etch in some definition using Brow This Way Eyebrow Sculpting Kit; a two-step palette that features a wax and a powder. The wax will shape and set your look, while the easy-to-blend powder adds fullness in just a few sweeps of the accompanying brow brush.

Step 2

Create a sculpted eye look with Magnif’Eyes Eyeshadow Palette in Blush Edition. It’s a collection of 12 velvety shades – including shimmers and mattes – that help to contour lids to perfection. Sweep the lightest two shades from the lash line up to the crease, then shade the socket and lower lash line with the second deepest shade, extending colour out into a subtle wing.

Step 3

It’s time to get those feline eyes looking fierce. First up, use Exaggerate Waterproof Eye Definer in Noir to trace the waterline along the upper and lower lashes. The top waterline can be tricky to reach, so try gently lifting your upper lid with your ring finger and looking down into a mirror as you apply.

Step 4

Just wing it. Reach for a liquid eyeliner, like Exaggerate Liquid Eyeliner, which features an ultra-fine tip to give you total control over your Halloween cat makeup. Starting from the inner corners of eyes, glide the jet-black pigment along the upper lash line, then repeat along the lower lash line to frame your eyes. Extend the lines at the outer and inner corners to create two wings on each eye, then add an extra flick just below the inner corner wing. It’s the ultimate eye-catching look.

Step 5

Still using Exaggerate Liquid Eyeliner, create a small cat nose and whiskers. Start by shading the tip of your nose with the liner, then draw a line that goes down to your cupid’s bow. On either side of the line, add three small whisker spots, then flick your wrist to create whiskers. Made a mistake? No problem. Use a cotton bud dipped in makeup remover to tidy up lines.

Step 6

Apply a black lipstick to your top lip, like Stay Matte Liquid Lip Colour in Pitch Black. Keep lips apart to apply and allow to dry completely so the colour doesn’t transfer onto your bottom lip.

Step 7

Pick up your Exaggerate Liquid Eyeliner and, on one side of your face, draw small ‘C’ shapes and uneven circles. Play with the pattern, drawing some shapes upside down or backwards, and all in different sizes. Fill each shape with Wonder’Swipe 2-in-1 Liner to Shadow, alternating the shades Instafamous, Ballin’ and So Savage.

Step 8

Complete your Halloween cat makeup look with Stay Matte Liquid Lip Colour in pale nude Raw Embrace. Again, keep lips apart while the pigment dries so the colour doesn’t transfer. Then, get your ears on and your claws out for the fiercest Halloween yet.
