How to Do Eyebrows Like an Actual Pro

Ready to achieve your most bangin’ brows yet? Never ask yourself ‘how to do eyebrows’ again with our ultimate guide to brow perfection, featuring pro-level tips. Whether your eyebrow vibe is full and boyish or sculpted and defined, our five hacks will get your brow game strong in an instant. It’s time to live your best brow life…

1. Map the Shape

Before pencilling in your eyebrows, start by roughly mapping their shape on your face. As a general rule, the beginning of your brow should be in line with the corner of your nose, and the highest point of your arch in line with the centre of your eye. If your brows are particularly sparse, this will show you where to fill in any gaps and help you to create a shape that’s ultra-flattering. Mark the outline with the angled brush and powder in Brow This Way Eyebrow Sculpting Kit, then lightly fill before sweeping the wax through your arches to groom and fix.

2. Etch and Sketch

Thinking of trying microblading? To fill in gaps and create a microbladed effect on your brows at home, try a slanted eyebrow pencil, like Brow This Way 2-in-1 Filler & Fixer, to create small, hair-like strokes. After using the spoolie on the end of the tool to brush your brows upwards, sweep the pencil through areas that need more definition, adding a little extra to the arch. Then, glide the brush through your eyebrows once more to blend out any heavy lines and stop them looking blocky. You can always build the colour up if you’re going for a bolder finish.

3. The Ombre Effect

If you’re ready to try grid-worthy ombre eyebrows, start applying your shade of Brow This Way Fibre Pencil to the centre of your brow, before etching it through to the outer point in short, sharp strokes. The end of your ombre brow should be darker than the beginning, so build up colour here for definition. After sculpting the middle to the end section of your eyebrow, go back to the start and blend pencil through with a lighter hand. The final gradient finish is so Instagram-ready.

4. Lift and Highlight

To get your brow arches on point, use the tip of tap Magnif’Eyes Mono Eyeshadow in Q-Jump directly underneath the arch, moving through to the very end of the brow. Lightly blend with fingertips to diffuse the pale, shimmery shadow. This gives the illusion of a higher arch and a super-sculpted brow look.

5. Ready, Set, Brow

To lock-in your ultimate brow look, set it all in place after pencilling with a sweep of NEW Wonder’Full Brow Mascara. The fade-proof, shower-proof formula lasts up to 24 hours, taming stray hairs into place and adding instant volume for a fuller finish. Your brows will not budge all day.
